The Other Beasts Had Their Lives Prolonged 

Daniel 7:12 As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.

Who were or are the other beasts? They are Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece. When ever each of these countries were conquered, the area of land which they ruled was absorbed and their ruling capitol taken. Today, we still have a country known as Greece which once ruled vast territories. The splendor of these once majestic rulers have now diminished, but they have not been obliterated. At first reading, one might think these kingdom's dominion will be taken away at one moment in time. God is not limited to time as we are. When He states "they had their dominion taken away," this action can take place over a long period of time. I am withholding further comment on the phrase, “yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time”.
