Daniel 7:9  The Ancient of Days

Daniel 7:9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.

Daniel watched until each of the beast played their role in earth’s history. They were each overthrown by the one that appeared next. Now arises the Ancient of days. This is God himself and his kingdom shall never end. The kingdoms of Babylon, Medo-Persia, Grecia, and Rome were now gone. They no longer ruled the earth. God the Father is described as Ancient. He has always been and shall forever be. But notice he is seen clothed in a garment as white as snow and his hair was like pure wool. We many times associate white hair with age, wisdom, experience, stability . God is without age; His hair did not turn white over time. God’s throne is like a fiery flame. He sits among flames and is not consumed. God is more than superior; He is God.
