Daniel 7:21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them

The little horn made war with the saints and prevailed against them. That is a startling statement, and I recommend you read further head, and see how this story ends. This little horn prevails against the saints for a limited length of time and then God steps in, but before that happens holy ones die. This concept is so foreign to many of the radio and TV preachers of today. They preach peace, prosperity, and ushering in the kingdom of God. Have you ever heard a message preached on Sunday morning awaking the saints to get ready to die soon? I have heard many a message emphasizing how God will not let his children suffer, but He will make a way of escape that they, the Christian, will be able to bear it. While Christ said in this life, you will suffer tribulation and persecutions, the majority of the pulpits preach just the opposite. I would imagine that attendance in the mega-church would be greatly diminished if some of the attendees were told they would need to be martyred in the future. Why,even the term martyred has a bad connotation today.

What we see in this passage is not a "christian-sect" going out and killing the "non-christians", but we see a man, the most ungodly person that was ever born, putting to death the saints of the most high God. God is not expecting His holy ones to physically fight for His cause; He expects them to stand, testify, and honor Him while being put to death.
