Daniel 7:10 Judgment Administered

Daniel 7:10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him the judgment was set, and the books were opened.

God sits in judgment. Whether the person sitting on the throne is Christ or the Father is unclear from this passage. Other passages in the New Testament shed light on this subject. A fiery stream is the instrument of judgment. A large number of 2,000,000 ministered to Him but 1, 000,000,000 stood before him in judgment. The books were opened. While God could judge in whatever manner He desires, He has chosen to judge by a standard, and each person will be judged by the same standard. These books may contain facts which demonstrate how each person who stands before Him has satisfied or failed to meet His standard for acceptance. To this assumption I have no proof. However, there is a Book of Life which contains the names of those who will live eternally. Only those whose names are contained therein shall stand before God as righteous. There is but one way to have your name included in this book. Your sins must be washed away by the blood of Jesus Christ. Then and only then are we considered righteous in God’s eye. This fact is true for all men, of all nationalities, all races, and all religions. Some will ask, “why are you so narrow and discriminating.” Jesus said in John 14:16 I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Would I be doing you a favor to tell you there are many ways to find God, if I believe there is but one way? His mercy and grace are open to all men, yesterday, all day today, and maybe even tomorrow, but when life is over we will stand before God and be judged from the books. In what book, will your name be found?
